The three Ap monks
Mastery of AP Literature and Composition is hard road. Each person attempting to become a literary master must learn from the AP monks. These three monks live in isolation atop Mt. Gondya. They live without the comfort of modern living aside from Nike shoes. The road is long and hard and only the best AP students will become AP masters...

Monk 1: Creativity
These two projects showcased my creativity skills. This class taught me how to be creative in literature. I was accustomed to writing five paragraph essays in written formats. The first project is a collection of Pokemon cards showcasing characters and allusions from Dante's Inferno. The Second is a creative write from the perspective of a doctor diagnosing a crazy woman.

Monk 2: Literature devices
This class has expanded my lexicon and strenghtened my mechanical knowlege. I can now use better diction in my writing and my life. Before this calss, I didn't really understand tone shifts, diction or syntax. Now, I see that these are the keys to understanding literature on a deeper level.
Monk 3: ANALYSIS
One of the major things I learned in AP Literature is analysis. Before I looked just at the words on the page and nothing else. Now I understand symbolism, Jesus characters and character development and how they're applicable to literature. It is very important to analyse the literature pieces to have a much more in debt experience. For example, my experience with The Great Gatsby was completely different when I read it analytically rather than just for what it is.
